We collect only what we need to run the store and fulfil your orders:

• Contact & delivery details — your name, email, phone number and delivery address when you check out or join the waitlist.
• Order information — the pieces you buy, order value, and delivery status.
• Payment information — card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we retain only limited details such as the card brand, last four digits and payment status.
• Seller information — if you apply to sell, the details in your application (bio, socials, the pieces you list, and payout details).
• Usage & device data — with your consent, cookies and analytics that tell us how the site is used so we can improve it.
• Communications — messages you send us and your marketing preferences.

• To take and fulfil your order — payment, collection, delivery and returns.
• To keep you updated about your order and provide customer support.
• To operate the seller programme and pay sellers.
• To send marketing — new pieces, offers and updates — only where you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To keep Covete secure and prevent fraud.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations.

We rely on: performance of our contract with you (to fulfil orders); your consent (for marketing, and for analytics/advertising cookies); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service); and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Stripe, our payment processor, to take your payment securely.
• Delivery partners, to collect and deliver your order.
• Communication providers (email, SMS and WhatsApp) to send order and, where opted in, marketing messages.
• Analytics providers, only after you accept analytics cookies.
• Sellers, who receive only the information needed to prepare your order.
• Authorities, where we are required to by law.

Essential cookies keep the site and your bag working and are always on. Analytics and advertising cookies run only after you accept them in the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the Covete cookies in your browser, and nothing non-essential tracks you until you accept.

Some of our providers (such as Stripe and our analytics and email tools) process data outside the UAE. Where data is transferred abroad, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with the PDPL.

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above — to fulfil and support your orders, meet tax and legal requirements, and, for marketing, until you unsubscribe. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Under the PDPL you may ask us to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• correct it if it is wrong;
• delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
• object to or restrict certain processing; and
• withdraw your consent at any time.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and payment handling by Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified processor.

Covete is intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its date, always lives on this page.
